QUOTATIONS

Maria Rachinskaya

During the Contest we presented our projects to people of very different backgrounds and received very different reactions — and all this knocked out of the everyday circle of thoughts about what you were doing, and allowed to look at the problem from a new perspective. It was interesting and unusual to answer unexpected questions, and it was great that they concerned not only to my project, but to me personally: you often get used to thinking about yourself through the lens of your work. It seems to me that during the Contest I not only learned to explain much better what I was doing, but also rethought many important aspects of my project. Separate pleasant and useful part of the Contest were meetings with other participants.

Educational Ashoka program named “visionary” for a reason. The main thing it does - it gives a certain value perspective in all aspects of social entrepreneurship (alongside with attached training package and a serious reading list). Each module was a source of great inspiration to change for me. Now I have started a new ecosystem project, and this was primarily due to Ashoka.

Oksana Kuharchuk

Ashoka Visionary Program provided me with:

— knowledge

Within training I get the integral picture of how to build social business and understanding how to develop a sustainable financial business model, with the main message coming from the business aspect.

Even if you work in a charity organization, there are monetization tools and approaches and mechanisms to have additional financial flows, thus allowing to ensure the stability of development.

— communication with entrepreneurs from different countries

Ashoka Visionary Program is a unique opportunity to plunge into the world of entrepreneurship with people who have already achieved amazing results. For example, people who change the health care system, the farming system in Africa, and so on. This general communication provided an opportunity to understand how they do it and how to achieve such tremendous results.
