During the Contest we presented our projects to people of very different backgrounds and received very different reactions — and all this knocked out of the everyday circle of thoughts about what you were doing, and allowed to look at the problem from a new perspective. It was interesting and unusual to answer unexpected questions, and it was great that they concerned not only to my project, but to me personally: you often get used to thinking about yourself through the lens of your work. It seems to me that during the Contest I not only learned to explain much better what I was doing, but also rethought many important aspects of my project. Separate pleasant and useful part of the Contest were meetings with other participants.
Educational Ashoka program named “visionary” for a reason. The main thing it does - it gives a certain value perspective in all aspects of social entrepreneurship (alongside with attached training package and a serious reading list). Each module was a source of great inspiration to change for me. Now I have started a new ecosystem project, and this was primarily due to Ashoka.
